Certificate Maker
Make printable award certificates for your class. Pick an award, add names (one certificate each), choose a design and print.
Names stay in this browser and are never sent anywhere. Use first names or numbers only.
How to make certificates
- Choose or type an award, such as Star of the Week or Super Reader.
- Add names, one per line, to print one certificate for each. Leave it blank to print certificates with a line to write on.
- Write what the award is for, the date and who signed it.
- Pick a design and colors, then press Print certificates. They print landscape, one per page.
Award ideas
Star of the Week, Student of the Month, Super Reader, Math Whiz, Amazing Writer, Science Star, Kindness Award, Great Effort, Fantastic Progress, Perfect Attendance, Super Listener, Team Player, Creative Thinker and Citizenship Award.
Make it specific: "for explaining your thinking clearly in math" means more to a student than "for good work", and it tells families what to praise at home.
Certificates are drawn in your browser with no downloaded images, so they print quickly and look sharp at any size. Tip: turn on "background graphics" in the print settings to print the colored designs.
Frequently asked questions
Can I print a certificate for each student?
Yes. Put each name on its own line and every certificate is printed on its own page.
Why are the colors missing when I print?
Some browsers leave out background colors by default. In the print window, open More settings and turn on Background graphics.
Can I edit the certificate wording?
Yes. The award, reason, date, signature and class or school name are all editable.
